Frequently Asked Questions
I’m a college student in India. How can I apply to be a Dell Aspire Scholar?
Qualifying students enrolled in their first semester at Delhi Technological University and Hansraj College at Delhi University will be invited to apply to the Dell Aspire Scholars program. Invitations will be sent by the college via email. Submissions from other applicants will not be accepted.
What are the requirements to become a Dell Aspire Scholar?
To be invited to apply for the Dell Aspire Scholars program, students must be Indian citizens in their first semester of study in select degree programs. Students must meet the program’s annual family income threshold to ensure scholarship funds are alleviating the financial burden of a college degree. Candidates who receive an invitation will be asked to complete an online application and interview process that allows us to learn more about their college and career goals to determine if they are a fit for the program.
What is the amount of scholarship funding received by Dell Aspire Scholars?
Depending on a student’s institution and major, funding will vary according to tuition and accommodation requirements. Specific details around the financial support available to an individual student will be provided during the final phase of selection.
What type of career coaching and skills training are offered to Dell Aspire Scholars?
Scholars will participate in career coaching throughout their time in college. Career readiness programming will focus on goal setting and building the network and relevant skills to achieve these goals. Scholars will be encouraged to engage with academic and co-curricular activities and to take on leadership roles during college.
How are partner colleges selected? Will students from other colleges be eligible to apply in the future?
We undergo a full due diligence process before partnering with a college to ensure alignment to our mission and to ensure institutional capacity to support our program.
